Introduction

The purpose of an organizational model is to understand the interrelation's logic, the exchanges and the communications between the various actors of an organizational group.

In an organization, there are actors who play essential roles so that the organization realizes its mission.

Basic models

In an organization, the basic model includes two main actors: a supplier and a customer.

A customer is a person or an organization which has needs and expectations and which receives products and services from a supplier. The customer is satisfied if products and\or services correspond to his needs and to his expectations.

A supplier is a person or an organization which supplies products, services or information to meet the needs and in the expectations of a customer.

The organization is at the same moment a supplier with regard to his customers, and a customer with regard to his suppliers.


General model

In an organization, the general model includes the following actors:

External environment

The external environment includes all the political, economic, technological, social and ecological actors who have a direct or indirect, positive or negative influence on the performance of an organization.

Customers

A customer is a person, an organization, a company who has needs and expectations and which receives products and services from a supplier or an organization.

Supplier

A supplier is a person, an organization, a body, a financial institution, a shareholder or a company which supplies products, services or resources (human, technological, material or financial) to meet the needs and in the expectations of a customer or an organization.

Partners

A partner is a person, a group of persons, an organization, a body, a company, a financial institution, a parent company or a subsidiary which collaborates with an organization or a company to meet the needs and in the expectations of a customer.

Competitors

A competitor is a person, an organization, a body or a company which offers products and competitive services to a company or an organization.

Employees

The employees understand workers of office, production, the technicians and the professionals at the various levels and in the various departments of a company or an organization.

Administrators

The administrators group together the members of the team of management and the administrators at the various levels of a company or an organization.

Intrants / Extrants

Every actor receives intrants and supplies extrants.

An intrant or an extrant can be:

  • An information
  • A product
  • A service
  • A equipment
  • An equipment
  • Some money

Value chain

Inside an organization, every administrative unit, every department, is a customer and\or a supplier with regard to the other administrative units.

All the administrative units represents a consequentive chain where every unit adds some value with regard to the previous one to produce a result to the satisfaction of a customer.
